.NET Domains
When the Dot NET universal domain extension was first started in 1985, along with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was planned to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure organizations. Taking into account that there were no specific prerequisites about the usage of the TLD, though, .NET domains were taken and used for various purposes and by lots of people. This extension represents a good substitute of dot COM, notably if the desired domain with the latter domain extension is not free for registration.
Acquiring a dot NET domain name with our firm is easy and takes barely a couple of minutes, due to the fact that we partner with an ICANN-certified registrar firm. You can book such a domain for a period between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already have a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it when the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are available for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have acquired an EPP transfer authorization code – security measures set up by the .NET Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily correct the WHOIS contacts of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you don’t want this information to be accessible at all, you can purchase a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to view your actual contact info.
The dot NET extension supports internationalized names, so you can decide if you want to concentrate on a specific country or region using a domain name in the native language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
