A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be stunningly easy if you have a cloud hosting plan with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve created shown in alphabetical order and on the right side of each one there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly let you know if a specific mailbox gets all the messages pertaining to a given domain or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option at any time. If there’s enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your consent.
